Main Ingredients

Creamy Horseradish Sauce

Method

Preparing the Creamy Horseradish Sauce

  1. 1

    Mix the Sauce

In a bowl, combine the prepared horseradish, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

Grilling the Onions

  1. 2

    Sauté the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the thinly sliced onions. Sauté for about 10-15 minutes until they are caramelized and golden brown. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembling the Dipper

  1. 3

    Prepare the Ciabatta Rolls

Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and lightly toast them on a grill or in an oven until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted ciabatta roll, layer sliced prime rib, grilled onions, and Swiss cheese slices. Top with the other half of the roll.

Making the Au Jus

  1. 5

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Finalizing the Dish

  1. 6

    Serve the Prime Dipper

Serve the assembled prime dipper sandwiches with a side of au jus for dipping. Serve the creamy horseradish sauce on the side.
