Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.

  3. 5

    Add the Cheese

Flip the patties and place two slices of pepper jack cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked through.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 6

    Slice the Jalapeños

While the patties are cooking, slice the fresh jalapeños. Remove the seeds for less heat if desired.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Boom Boom Sauce

If you don't have pre-made boom boom sauce, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a bowl to taste.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 8

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 9

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced jalapeños, and a generous drizzle of boom boom sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
