Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 3

Add 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 large egg to the butter mixture, mixing until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1 tsp of salt.

  5. 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

Gently fold in 1.5 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chunks.

  1. 7

Grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with butter or non-stick spray.

  2. 8

Spread the cookie dough evenly in the skillet.

  3. 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly underbaked.

  4. 10

Remove from the oven and let the cookie cool for about 10 minutes.
