Burger Buns

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your preferred level of doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 4

    Slice the Tomato and Onion

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion into thin rounds.

  2. 5

    Wash the Lettuce

Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

  3. 6

    Prepare Pickles

If using whole pickles, slice them into rounds or spears.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty on top, followed by lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
