Method
Pizetta Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pizzetta dough ingredients and knead until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure a crispy crust.
- 3
Prepare the Baking Sheet
Grease a baking sheet with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
Divide the rested dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.
- 5
Add Sauce and Toppings
Spread a thin layer of pomodoro sauce over each rolled-out dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella and fontina cheese generously. If using, add pepperoni slices on top.
- 6
Season the Pizettas
Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and black pepper over the assembled pizzettas.
- 7
Bake the Pizettas
Place the pizzettas on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Remove the pizzettas from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
