Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Preparing the Salmon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes and place them on the baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss gently to coat the salmon evenly.

  2. 2

    Roasting the Salmon

Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the oven and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cooking the Rice

In a medium saucepan, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the Arborio rice and stir for about 2 minutes until the rice is lightly toasted. Add 4 cups of water or low-sodium chicken broth to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

  4. 4

    Adding Vegetables

Once the liquid is boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for about 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, add the frozen peas, diced carrots, and corn to the rice. Stir well and continue cooking until the rice is creamy and the vegetables are tender.

  5. 5

    Combining Ingredients

Once the rice and vegetables are cooked, gently fold in the roasted salmon cubes. Mix until everything is well combined and heated through.

  6. 6

    Serving

Allow the mixture to cool slightly before serving it to your dog. Make sure the food is at a safe temperature before offering it to ensure your dog's safety.
