Method
Preparation of Kebab
- 1
Marinate the Meat
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground paprika, ground black pepper, salt, and lemon juice. Add the cubed beef or chicken and mix well until the meat is fully coated in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Soak the Skewers
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
- 3
Skewer the Meat
Once the meat is marinated, thread the pieces onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
Grilling the Kebab
- 4
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 5
- 6
Garnish
Once done, remove the kebabs from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Serving the Kebab
- 7
Warm the Pita
Lightly warm the pita bread on the grill or in a pan for a few seconds on each side.
- 8
Assemble the Dish
Serve the kebabs in the warm pita bread with a side of tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables.
