Marinade
Chicken
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F or 190°C to 230°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on one side without moving them, then flip and grill for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
