Preparation
- 1
Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add Tea Leaves
Once the water is boiling, add 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves or the equivalent in tea bags. Let it steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
- 3
Add Fresh Mint
After steeping, remove the tea leaves or tea bags and add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves to the hot tea. Allow the mint to steep for an additional 5 minutes to release its flavor.
- 4
Sweeten the Tea (Optional)
If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar while the tea is still warm, adjusting to taste.
- 5
Serve Hot
Pour the mint tea into cups and serve hot. Optionally, garnish with a few whole mint leaves.
