Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Rinse and dry the mixed greens thoroughly. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber and radishes into thin rounds, and trim the green beans.

  2. 2

    Cook the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for about 3-5 minutes or until tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking process.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Eggs

Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water, bringing it to a boil, then letting them cook for 9-12 minutes. Once done, cool them under cold running water and peel.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Tuna

Open the canned tuna and drain the liquid. Flake the tuna with a fork and set aside.

  5. 5

    Prepare Other Vegetables

Slice the red bell pepper into thin strips and set aside.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 6

    Combine Salad Base Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, and green beans.

  2. 7

    Add Protein

Gently add the flaked tuna and quartered hard-boiled eggs on top of the salad base.

  3. 8

    Add Olives and Bell Pepper

Sprinkle black olives and red bell pepper strips over the salad.

Making the Dressing

  1. 9

    Mix the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 10

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the assembled salad and gently toss to combine, ensuring that all ingredients are coated.

Serving

  1. 11

    Plate the Salad

Divide the salad into individual serving plates, ensuring a generous amount of each topping is included in each portion.

  2. 12

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional black olives or a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.
