Burger Patty

Method

Prepare the Red Onion Marmalade

  1. 1

    Cook the Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and cook until soft, about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Sugar and Vinegar

Stir in the brown sugar, red wine vinegar, and salt. Cook until the mixture thickens and becomes jam-like, about 15-20 minutes. Set aside.

Make Red Wine Butter

  1. 3

    Mix Butter Ingredients

In a bowl, combine softened butter, red wine, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Season and Shape

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two patties.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.

  3. 6

    Add Brie Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Brie cheese on each patty to melt slightly.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

On each bun, place the cooked patty with melted Brie, top with red onion marmalade, a dollop of red wine butter, and smashed potato chips.

  2. 8

    Serve

Close the buns, serve immediately, and enjoy your Boucherie Burger!
