Method

Preparing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves and reduce heat to low. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sweeten the Tea

After steeping, add 4 tablespoons of sugar to the tea and stir until completely dissolved.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves. Let the tea cool to room temperature.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 5

    Prepare the Glass

In a tall glass, add 2 cups of ice.

  2. 6

    Add Tea

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice, filling the glass about 2/3 full.

  3. 7

    Add Milk Mixture

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of condensed milk and 1 cup of evaporated milk. Pour this mixture over the tea in the glass.

  4. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Stir gently to combine the milk with the tea. Optionally, garnish with a sprig of mint or a slice of lime. Serve with a straw and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea.
