Directions
- 1
Prepare the Edamame
Begin by rinsing the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
- 2
Boil Water
In a medium-sized pot, add 0.5 cups of water and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 3
Steam the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, place the edamame pods in a steamer basket and place it over the pot, making sure the water does not touch the edamame. Cover the pot and steam for about 5-6 minutes, or until the pods are tender and bright green.
- 4
Season the Edamame
After steaming, carefully remove the edamame from the pot. Sprinkle 1 tsp of salt over the pods while they are still warm, tossing gently to ensure even distribution.
- 5
Serve
Transfer the salted edamame to a serving bowl. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
