Method

Preparation of Chicken

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Rinse the whole chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Chicken

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub this mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated.

Cooking the Chicken

  1. 4

    Bake the Chicken

Place the seasoned chicken in a roasting pan and bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  2. 5

    Rest the Chicken

Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 6

    Cook Corn on the Cob

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the corn on the cob and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Remove and set aside.

  2. 7

    Prepare Coleslaw

In a large bowl, mix coleslaw mix with your favorite dressing. Toss until well combined.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Meal

Carve the rested chicken into halves and serve one half per plate along with a portion of corn and coleslaw on the side.
