Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry Shake, regular size

Measure out 5 cups of barley malt, 2 cups of hops, and 8 liters of water. Have 1 tablespoon of yeast ready.

Prepare the Ingredients

In a large pot, heat 8 liters of water to approximately 65°C (149°F). Add the 5 cups of barley malt and stir well. Maintain this temperature for about 60 minutes.

Mash the Malt

After the mashing process, bring the mixture to a boil. Add 2 cups of hops to the boiling wort and let it boil for 60 minutes.

Once boiling is complete, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 20°C (68°F).

Cool the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the 1 tablespoon of yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Let it ferment for 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature.

Fermentation

If desired, add 1 teaspoon of coriander, 1 teaspoon of orange peel, and 1 cup of sugar to the fermentation vessel during the last few days of fermentation.

Flavoring (Optional)

After fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving some headspace. Cap the bottles and let them carbonate for 1-2 weeks.

Bottling

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the refrigerator, then pour into a glass and enjoy your refreshing draft beer!
