Method
Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and apple cider vinegar. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add water and cover. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the BBQ sauce. Stir to combine and let it warm on low for an additional 30 minutes.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 4
Mix the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat.
- 5
Chill the Slaw
Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
