Method

Preparation of Base

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Cool the Cake

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  2. 7

    Add Ice Cream

Once the cake is completely cooled, cut it into squares and place each square on a serving plate.

  3. 8

    Top with Ice Cream

Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each cake square.

  4. 9

    Drizzle with Chocolate Syrup

Generously drizzle chocolate syrup over the ice cream and cake.

  5. 10

Finish with Whipped Cream and Cherries

Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry on top.
