Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then generously apply the dry rub mixture on both sides of the ribs, making sure to coat evenly.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender and pulling away from the bone.

  2. 5

    Broil for Finish

Remove the foil and switch the oven to broil. Broil the ribs for 5-10 minutes, until the surface is caramelized and slightly crispy.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sides

While the ribs are baking, prepare your coleslaw according to package instructions or your favorite recipe. Bake or heat the cornbread as directed.

  2. 7

    Serve

Once the ribs are done, let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the ribs with coleslaw and cornbread on the side.
