Method
Preparing the Pasta
- 1
Cook the fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
Grilling the Chicken
- 2
Prepare the chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- 3
Grill the chicken
Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 4
Prepare the sauce
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5
Add cream and cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining Everything
- 6
Combine pasta and sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- 7
Serve with chicken
Slice the grilled chicken and serve it on top of the creamy fettuccine. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
