Method
Preparation
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking.
Prepare Baking Dish
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Batter Mixing
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are fine.
Baking
Transfer to Baking Dish
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes in the baking dish before serving.
Serving
Add Toppings
While the dish is still warm, top with fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, and drizzle with maple syrup.
Slice and Serve
Cut into squares and serve warm for a delightful breakfast or brunch treat.
