Method
Wings Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This will help achieve a crispy texture.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
- 3
Coat the Wings
Place the all-purpose flour in a large zip-top bag. Add the seasoned wings to the bag and shake until the wings are well coated in flour.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry the wings properly.
- 5
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the wings to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary, and fry them for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Buffalo Sauce Preparation
- 6
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and white vinegar. Stir until combined and heated through.
Tossing and Serving
- 7
Toss the Wings
In a large bowl, pour the hot buffalo sauce over the fried wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- 8
Serve
Serve the buffalo wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
