Method
Preparation of Bread
- 1
Slice and Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil on both sides.
- 2
Bake the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the bread for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Preparation of Topping
- 3
Dice the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, wash the tomatoes and dice them into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.
- 4
Chop the Basil
Wash the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them roughly. Add the chopped basil to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.
- 5
Mince the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely, then add to the tomato and basil mixture.
- 6
Season the Mixture
Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the tomato mixture and gently toss everything together until well combined.
Assembly
- 7
Top the Bread
Using a spoon, generously top each toasted slice of bread with the tomato mixture.
- 8
Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the topped bruschetta for added flavor.
- 9
Serve
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
