Method

Shrimp Francaise

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Dredge each shrimp in flour, shaking off the excess.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the white wine and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and remaining butter. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. 4

    Combine

Return the shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Pasta

  1. 5

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
