Burger Patty

Cheeseburger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined; do not overwork the meat.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

3

Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

4

Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Assembling the Cheeseburger

5

Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

6

Build the Cheeseburger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Top with slices of tomato and onion. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then place the top half of the bun on the burger.
