Burger Patties

Method

Prepare the Patties

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until the spices are evenly incorporated into the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Patties

3

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may add a little oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

5

Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

6

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add slices of tomato and pickles, and then drizzle ketchup and mustard on top. Finish by placing the top half of the bun on each burger.
