Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Bacon

3

Fry the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Cook the Burger Patty

4

Grill or Pan-Fry

In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

5

Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

6

Prepare the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes, cut side down, until golden brown.

7

Layer Ingredients

Spread 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a patty with melted cheese on top, followed by 2 strips of crispy bacon, lettuce, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
