Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

1

Form the Patties

In a large bowl, take the 1 pound of Angus beef and gently form it into two equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Avoid overworking the meat to keep it tender.

2

Season the Patties

Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the patties to taste.

Cook the Patties

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

5

Chop the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces, slice the tomato into thin rounds, and slice the onion into rings.

Make the Special Sauce

6

Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of mustard, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until smooth.

Assemble the Burger

7

Build the Burger

Take a burger bun and spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the bottom half. Place the cooked beef patty on top, followed by the lettuce, tomato, and onion. Top it off with the other half of the bun.
