Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken and Sausage

Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for another 5 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage and Peppers

In the same skillet, add the chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Then, add the hot pickled peppers and stir to combine.

  3. 3

    Combine and Simmer

Return the chicken thighs to the skillet. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer, then cover and reduce heat to low. Let it cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Crispy Brioche

In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced brioche and toast until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Stir in the fresh herbs into the sauce. Serve the chicken thighs topped with the sausage, peppers, and sauce, accompanied by the crispy brioche.
