Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, and remove the stems. Set the caps aside and finely chop the stems.

Cheese Filling

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped mushroom stems, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure they are well-packed.

Topping and Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil and grated Parmesan cheese until the bread crumbs are well coated and crumbly.

  2. 6

    Add Topping

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the stuffed mushrooms.

  3. 7

    Bake

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Warm

Remove the stuffed mushrooms from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as an appetizer or snack!
