Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Garlic and Chili Flakes
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Pour in the canned diced tomatoes, stir well, and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

Once the sauce has thickened slightly, stir in the chopped fresh basil and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Combine and Serve

Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained rotini pasta to the skillet with the arrabbiata sauce. Toss well to combine, ensuring the pasta is thoroughly coated with the sauce.

Plate the pasta and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
