Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.

Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the sub rolls open. Place several meatballs on the bottom half of each roll, spoon marinara sauce over the meatballs, and top with provolone cheese slices.

Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Romano cheese.
