Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fries

Preheat your oven or fryer according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. If using an oven, spread the fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Bake or Fry

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or fry according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy.

Pastrami Topping

  1. 3

    Heat Pastrami

While the fries are cooking, heat the sliced pastrami in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Melt Swiss Cheese

Once the pastrami is heated, place the Swiss cheese slices on top and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.

  2. 6

    Make Dressing

In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well blended.

  3. 7

    Combine Coleslaw

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss to coat evenly. Set aside to let flavors meld.

Russian Dressing Preparation

  1. 8

    Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, paprika, and salt. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Dish

Once the fries are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven or fryer. Place the fries on a serving platter. Top with the warm pastrami and melted Swiss cheese.

  2. 10

    Add Coleslaw and Dressing

Spoon the prepared coleslaw over the top of the fries and drizzle with the zesty Russian dressing. Serve immediately.
