Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) so it’s ready for baking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ravioli

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the four cheese ravioli and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  2. 4

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 5

    Combine Ravioli and Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ravioli with the prepared sauce, ensuring all ravioli are well-coated.

  2. 6

    Prepare for Baking

Transfer the ravioli and sauce mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread it evenly.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese Toppings

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the ravioli.

  4. 8

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  5. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
