Pork Chop and Marinade
Sides (Optional)
Method
Marinating the Pork Chop
- 1
- 2
Marinate the Pork Chop
Place the 14-oz bone-in pork chop in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork chop, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight for better flavor).
Cooking the Pork Chop
- 3
Preheat the Grill or Oven
If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Remove from Marinade
Take the marinated pork chop out of the refrigerator and remove it from the marinade. Discard the marinade.
- 5
Grill or Bake the Pork Chop
If grilling, place the pork chop on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). If baking, place the pork chop on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the same internal temperature is reached.
- 6
Rest the Pork Chop
Once cooked, remove the pork chop from the grill or oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This helps retain the juices.
Preparing Optional Sides
- 7
Cook the Green Beans
While the pork chop is resting, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh green beans and cook for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and toss with butter, salt, and black pepper.
- 8
Cook the Baby Potatoes
In another pot, boil the baby potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and season with butter, salt, and black pepper.
