Method

Preparing the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew 1 cup of espresso or strong coffee and let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Sweeten Coffee

Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar to the warm coffee and stir until dissolved.

Making the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 3

    Whisk Egg Yolks

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until pale and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Mascarpone

Gently fold in the 1 cup of mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth.

  3. 5

    Whip Cream

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  4. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

Assembling Tiramisu

  1. 7

    Soak Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 8

    Layer Tiramisu

In a baking dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer on top.

  3. 9

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Serving

  1. 10

    Dust with Cocoa Powder

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

  2. 11
