Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Carrot Puree

Peel and chop the carrots into small pieces. In a saucepan, combine the chopped carrots, coconut milk, ginger, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook until the carrots are tender, about 15 minutes. Once cooked, blend the mixture until smooth and set aside.

  2. 2

Make the Gochujang Soy BBQ Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, and olive oil until well combined. This will be your marinade and BBQ sauce.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Tuna

Rub the yellowfin tuna steaks with the gochujang soy BBQ sauce and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Grill the Tuna

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the tuna steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Avoid overcooking to maintain tenderness.

  5. 5

    Serve

On a plate, spread a generous amount of the coconut ginger carrot puree. Place the grilled tuna on top and sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts for added crunch. Drizzle with any remaining gochujang soy BBQ sauce if desired.
