Method
For the Buffalo Wings
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
Season the Wings
Sprinkle the garlic powder, ground black pepper, and salt over the chicken wings. Toss the wings to ensure they are evenly coated with the seasonings.
Heat the Oil
In a large deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Coat the Wings
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels. Transfer them to a large bowl and pour the hot sauce mixture over them. Toss the wings to coat them evenly.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, and ground black pepper.
Blend the Dressing
Using a fork or a whisk, mix the ingredients until well combined. If you prefer a smoother dressing, you can blend it in a blender or food processor.
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the dressing and add salt as needed. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
