BBQ Ribs

Method

BBQ Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  4. 4

    Add BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce all over the ribs and return to the oven (uncovered) for an additional 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish with Vinegar

During the last 10 minutes of baking, drizzle apple cider vinegar over the ribs to enhance flavor. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Shrimp

  1. 6

    Prepare the Shrimp

While the ribs are baking, clean and devein the shrimp if necessary. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 7

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  4. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve alongside the BBQ ribs.
