Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Home Fries

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden brown and tender, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Season the New York Strip Steak generously with salt and pepper. In another skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Blistered Tomatoes

In the same skillet used for the steak, add the cherry tomatoes and cook over medium heat until they begin to blister, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, cook the eggs to your liking (scrambled, fried, or poached). Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Make the Steak Butter

In a small bowl, mix the unsalted butter with garlic powder. Roll into a log and refrigerate until firm.

  6. 6

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread to your preference.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the rested steak and serve alongside the home fries, blistered tomatoes, and eggs. Add a slice of steak butter on top of the steak and serve with toast on the side.
