Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together flour, ground hazelnuts, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.

Melt the chopped milk chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Refrigerate the mousse for at least 2 hours before serving.
Assembly

Layer the Cake
Place one cake layer on a serving platter, spread a layer of passion fruit curd, followed by a layer of milk chocolate ganache.

Place the second cake layer on top and cover the entire cake with the remaining ganache.

Pipe or spread the milk chocolate mousse on top of the cake for decoration.
