Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare Coffee Mixture
Brew strong coffee and let it cool. If using coffee liqueur, mix it into the cooled coffee.
- 2
Prepare Mascarpone Mixture
In a medium bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Whip Heavy Cream
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- 4
Assemble Tiramisu
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for a few seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a dish.
- 5
Add Mascarpone Layer
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers.
- 6
Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
