Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 2
Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken breast into the flour, shaking off the excess. Then, dip into the eggs, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from skillet and place on a baking sheet.
- 5
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour marinara sauce over each chicken breast and then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
If using, sprinkle fresh basil on top before serving. Enjoy your Chicken Parmigiana!
