Method

Prepare the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew the Espresso

Brew 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. Use high-quality coffee beans for the best flavor.

  2. 2

    Heat the Water

In a small saucepan, heat 60 ml of water until just below boiling. This will be used to dilute the espresso if desired.

Froth the Milk

  1. 3

    Heat the Milk

In a saucepan, heat 200 ml of whole milk over medium heat until it's steaming, but not boiling.

  2. 4

    Froth the Milk

Using a milk frother or whisk, froth the heated milk until it doubles in volume and forms a creamy foam.

  3. 5

    Add Flavor

Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract and sugar to taste into the frothed milk.

Assemble the Cappuccino

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a large coffee cup, pour the brewed espresso. If desired, add the heated water to dilute the espresso slightly.

  2. 7

    Add the Frothed Milk

Gently spoon the frothed milk over the espresso, allowing the foam to sit on top.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle cocoa powder and cinnamon on top of the foam according to your preference.
