Arancini Ingredients

Method

Arancini Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the cooked Arborio rice, shredded braised beef, frozen peas, Fontina cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Balls

With wet hands, take a portion of the rice mixture and form it into a ball about the size of a golf ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  3. 3

    Coat the Balls

Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each rice ball first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    Fry the Arancini

In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the arancini in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Serve with Tomato Cream Sauce

Serve the arancini warm with a drizzle of tomato cream sauce on top or on the side for dipping.
