Mushrooms

Cooking Essentials

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Rinse the fresh mushrooms under cold water and gently wipe them with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Trim the stems if necessary and slice the mushrooms into thick pieces.

  2. 2

Mince the Garlic and Chop Herbs

Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Chop the fresh parsley and thyme finely.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Herbs

Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet with the mushrooms. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.

  3. 5

    Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the sautéed mushrooms warm as a side dish or over a bed of rice or pasta.
