Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. After grating, place the cucumber in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture until dry.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely using a knife or garlic press. This will help release their flavor into the tzatziki.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and chopped fresh dill. Mix everything together until well combined.

  4. 4

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the tzatziki and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more salt or lemon juice according to your preference.

  5. 5

    Chill

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Tzatziki is best served chilled.
