Preparation of Vegetables
Prepare the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber and slice it into bite-sized pieces. You can peel it if you prefer.
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into wedges or chunks.
Prepare the Red Onion
Peel the red onion and thinly slice it. Rinse the slices under cold water to reduce sharpness if desired.
Prepare the Bell Pepper
Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut it into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.
Assembly of Salad
Combine the Vegetables
In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped cucumber, tomatoes, sliced red onion, and bell pepper.
Add Feta and Olives
Crumble the feta cheese over the vegetables and scatter the Kalamata olives on top.
Dressing the Salad
Prepare the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and dried oregano. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine all ingredients.
Serving
Serve Immediately
Serve the Greek salad immediately for the freshest flavor, or let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
