Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten the chicken breast to an even thickness using a meat mallet. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  2. 2

    Bread the Chicken

Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten egg in another, and bread crumbs in a third bowl. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in the egg, and coat with bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Panino

On one slice of focaccia bread, spread a layer of tomato sauce. Place the cooked chicken on top, add mozzarella cheese, and another layer of tomato sauce.

  5. 5

    Toast the Panino

Top with the second slice of focaccia. Place the assembled panino in a panini press or skillet and cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the press/skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
