Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Salmon
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the salmon fillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and flake the salmon into bite-sized pieces.
- 3
Make the Vodka Sauce
In the same skillet, add vodka and simmer for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- 4
Add Cream and Basil
Stir in heavy cream and chopped basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for another 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked farfalle and flaked salmon to the sauce, tossing gently to coat. Cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with grated parmesan cheese and extra basil if desired.
