Method

Tea Base

1

Boil Water

In a small saucepan or kettle, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.

2

Steep Tea

Add 2 teaspoons of loose leaf green tea or 2 green tea bags to the hot water. Let steep for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength. Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness.

3

Strain and Cool

Remove or strain the tea leaves/bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for quicker cooling.

Sweetened Milk Mixture

4

Mix Milk and Sweetener

In a separate container or glass, mix 1 cup of whole milk with 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk. Stir until fully combined.

Assemble Drink

5

Combine Tea and Milk

In a large glass or shaker, combine the cooled green tea with the sweetened milk mixture. Stir or shake well to combine.

6

Add Ice and Optional Toppings

Add 1 cup of ice cubes to a serving glass. Pour the mixed green milk tea over the ice. Optionally, add 1 cup of cooked tapioca pearls (boba) to the bottom of the glass before pouring the drink.
